Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

Hey guys, we were in a real rush yesterday so unfortunately we didn't get as much footage as I wanted. The wind was pretty high as well and in reality only the second flyby captures some of the essence of that sound. I swear there is no other Porsche I've heard (road cars that is) other than the CGT that sounds this good/crazy. It's such a clean/crisp sound that I know what I'm doing on ours in 2 weeks time For 7500 you get 200 cell high flow cats, longer tube headers and some tips but you also loose about 38 pounds of weight (verified). I'm not sure on the power gains (you'll need to ask Fred) but I'm sure that we'll dyno ours etc...
Enjoy and we will make more:

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

Wow, sounds incredible. How good is it for everday use though b/c it sounds loud as all hell. If I tried using that in D.C., DCPD, Capitol Police, and Secret Service would be all over my arse.

    $7500, a bit steep don't ya think? Yes/No?

Oh, and I think I know the road you shot that on too ... it's in Freemont, CA. Crosses over a bay or lake or something. I was out there on business 2 months ago.

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

hey heist, I agree it's expensive. The one that comes with the flapper valve is even more at 8300. Usually the stuff from Europe is by the time it comes over here. The cats are expensive etc... So when you drive normally it's actually not too much louder than stock. It's when you get on it and mash the gas...

PS Spot on with the road! Good mememory. Next time you're around drop in....

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

    It does sound mint.

Wbat make and model is the exhaust system? You didn't say. I'll look into it. Post the HP figures a/f you dyno it.

Holy crap! It was the road! What gave it away was the center divide. I remember thinking to myself as I crossed it, "Why is it so low - it's only only going to act like a ramp and launch a car if someone crosses it."

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

Really wonder why you chose to do a high speed run on a public road with other cars and include the expletive in the video? It sounds great, but I certainly think your irresponsible to say the least to use a public road--why not take it to a track and do the whole thing justice?

    Flame away if you like

Not my car and although when he was going down the road there were no cars I understand where you're coming from. He was just excited to have his exhaust set up that day and wanted to show people. He's going to the track next Saturday with it. I will say that nobody that I know that owns that car goes 65mph in it on the roads. You might not like that fact but it is a fact. They just minimize the risks as much as they can and again there were no cars going in his direction etc....

They claim 23hp (Cargraphic) but we'll verify that first;)

I don't always drive mine 65 either. Guess my point was, this is a video that represents your company. Beautiful car BTW.

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

No I understand your valid point. Again, I should mention I was _not_ driving but I guess it looks like I am condoning the speeding etc so point taken.

Well Cargraphic does have TUV approved versions but I believe those come with the flapper/valve so you'd have to get that one.

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

sounds amazing! seems like a very decent upgrade and although its a deep steep money wise, it sure does seem to be legit.

Just got our car delivered so we shall see;)

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

What were the final dyno numbers with the exhaust installed.

My car only has 55 miles on it so we need more time before we do a stock dyno and then the exhaust. Fred never did a baseline unfortunately. We'll find out though one way or the other. Cargraphic has been selling them all over Europe though and gotten a lot of press so I'm eager to see what it does myself.

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

how about the awe tuning exhaust?

Re: Video of Modified 997 GT3 RS @ Shark Werks

hi jlaim, I'll glad take a look at it once it's ready. We've done a lot of the 997S exhaust systems and 996TT ones as well from them.
