    If I owned a Cobra, I wouldn't let anyone drive it ,regardless of gender, unless I was absolutely sure that they would be able to handle it.

    At least it wasn't a real Cobra... I hope she wasn't hurt.

    Recently a local sold his Cobra kit car with 650hp+ to a friend who didn't have a license. The friend let the previous owner drive it whenever, and one night he went out joyriding and ended up flipping it end over end right down the road from my house. He is now paralyzed from the waist down...

    OMG - what actually happened? Did she hit a stationary car on the wrong side of the road!!? The road looked slippery and the car probably doesn't have TC?

    How many times have we seen the same thing? Too much horsepower an inexpereinced driver and wet roads. A recipe for disaster.

    That happened in Houston. At an Ice House. Alcohol was probably involved.

    Does anyone else think maybe these Shelby repros have too much power? I recall seeing one on ebay with something like around 600 dynoed hp. They don't appear to weigh much more than 2500 lbs. with little to no safety features

    I'm so glad that was "just" a Superformance Cobra. Still a sweet ride, but doesn't hurt to see it crash as much as an original would.
