Myself and my very good friend, had I would say one of the worst buying experience. I placed my order with someone, who was a great guy, and he left Beverly Hills, another guy took over and the buying experience was terrible. He acted like he was doing me a favor. Poor about returning calls, was there only 2 minutes when I picked up my car, no call back to see how I was doing. Really didn't give a crap. I even gave him two referrals for GT3. I don't care what you buy if it's a Kia to a Ferrari, I expect at least some courtesy. I will definitely go somewhere else to get my next porsche (Panamerica). Hope ur buying experience was better.

I think the black wheels make car look lower, less on stilts than the silver or orange wheels which seem to highlight the gap from top of tyre to wheel arch.

You don't get this gap with 996 GT3's.

Stewart, I love your combination. It really is stunning. How does it drive? How does it compare to what you had previously? I am after a white GT3. To my absolute amazement I saw one parked in my road for about 10 mins. Kid and I went to have a discrete look. I seen Black in the showroom but white is something else. It was from Colchester. The clearance height did not look to bad to me, I wanted to have a chat with the driver but I missed him. How does yours drive?? let me know. I really want one but all dealers are saying 12 months wait. Hartley (car dealer) quoted me 2 weeks wth Pounds10K premium! How the hell does he get them??

i've had 996 gt3rs and gt3 , the gt3 was a much better alround car, the 997 gt3rs is so much better than both , in my opinion and have driven both i prefer it to the turbo , if you are worried about ride height get the 997gt3 and in white is so cool , the rs is very low at the front . im only in bishops stortford so drop me a line

I've never been into silver cars b/c they are so common and b/c they are too understated for my taste. Not enough pop. However, yours is the exception. That is HOT!

Thanks Stewart, I might take you up on that. I have driven 2cs and 4cs but no dealer seems to have a GT3.
I see you bought yours from East London. I nearly placed an order there with a lovely lady called Rebecca. I had an appointment with her but that day I waited over an hour, got a little p...ed off waiting for her and walked out. I think she has left now. Anyway, the fact that I could not park my car in their car park really put me off. Its a nightmare in there. I am from Billericay and East london, Colchester and Hatfield are about the same distance.
I have emailed easy riders German dealer to check delivery time for import but no response! I am off to the Geneva motor show on Tuesday and when I get back I will decide.

Geneva show was good. Its next door to the airport and no taxi or train required. Porsche stand had an orange RS and white GT3. Both looked really nice. Audi R8 looked good but they would not let you look at it close up.
Anyway just ordered a white GT3 from Colchester. Still lots of time to change the colour and Spec. Basically have speced it with Sport seats (non bucket) Xenon lights, Navi, Sport Chrono plus, engravings, phone module and full leather. No delivery time given but they are hopefull it will arrive this year! Deposit Paid!! Apparently they will contact me an allow me to drive one on track. If its not for me they will refund or allow me to change order but I am sure it will be great.

You will love the GT3. I was lucky enough to drive one yesterday, and it's a whole new experience. There is no way you can be disappointed!

White IMO is a good choice - silver's way too common
