The problems stated by evo are not really major ones. They found out that the tip transmision would "lag" a bit if you just slam sown the throttle fully.
There is a button under the accelerator pedal that accounts for this, a solution to that would be to depress the accelerator but without pressing on the button.

I really dont know why most of tuners when they hear that I have a Tiptronic car and want to make it faster, they are afraid a little bit... 
Someone told me that they havent managed to get in the tiptronic's software..
In my opinion the car is too easy without soul. It needs a power and sound mod for Sure. If lets say you make it 600hp it might be the best car. I dont know what to say, too many kms without feeling in corners. I will make it 600hp and if I still dont like it I will definetely go for Gt2.

Why would I want to use the EVO Stage 4 system with this scenario ? To avoid hitting the button seems like an absurdity in this type of car. Your asking for the driver to walk an extremely fine line when dropping the hammer in a tiptronic. No - this is unacceptable and until it is resolved I will sit on the sideline and wait patiently for Todd from EVO to come up with a realistic solution for us tip drivers.

I think you can easily get the 600 hp from the EVO Stage 4 system with the tip. As a daily driver in bumper to bumper NYC traffic you often seek a more quiet soulfull aka pleasant (as opposed to souless) ride. Then, when the road opens up, coming out to Long Island, you can release the "soul" of the car. My biggest problem is will the mods to the tip be reliable. Seems as though there are very few 600 hp modded tip cars around. I'd like to hear some input from them on modding the tip (whether EVO, AWE, Cargraphic, Gemballa, whatever). What are your thoughts ?

Why would you want only the ECU ? Wouldn't you want the entire package with exhaust, headers, etc. ? Wouldn't changing the ECU without the other mods cause problems ? I really don't know the answer. I get the feeling that EVO will be VERY busy working on this tip problem attempting to fashion a pragmatic solution.

Spoke with FVD and they were aware of this problem affecting other tuners but same does NOT affect their tip cars. Their software works w/o an exhaust, but, clearly adding the exhaust enhances the entire package. I should have the FVD ECU box in my car mid next week...will update then.
