    Aston Martin DB5

    Apparently, AM will unveil an all new model (DB5) at the Detroit motor show early next year.
    It will be directly targeted at the 911.
    Anyone has more info please? (I love Astons )

    For the DB5, AM will use a 4,4L Jaguar derivated V8 engine.
    Price should be around 70.000 pounds, topspeed 185 mph and sprint to 60 mph should be reached under 5 sec.




    btw, I'm so sorry, that Jaguar will not build the F-type.

    The 4.2L V8 supercharged engine in the current Jag XKR is 390 hp, 0-60 mph in just over 5 sec. They are hinting at more power in 2004 when the new XK model arrives, so the 4.4L engine mentioned for the DB5 is almost certainly correct. Its a nice smooth engine with a good power band.
