    GT3 all-season tires approved by Porsche?

    Anybody know what all-season or rain/winter tires Porsche approves for the GT3?

    And can these tires be ordered on a new GT3 rather than the cup tires?

    Since I live in a rainy place and there is no track here, maybe the all-season tires would be a better bet?

    In the Uk these are..........
    in addition to the Michelin & Pirelli Cups
    Pirreli PZERO Rosso N1
    Pirreli PZERO Corsa NO
    Michelin PS2 N1's (as above)
    & a Bridgestone NO rated tyre that I didn't get the name of as it was stated that they are too firm for the GT3!

    But I don't believe Porsche will supply them as OE!

    Thanks, Pokernut. So you think Porsche will provide only the Cup tires as OEM equipment? It could be expensive to have to buy four new 19" high performance tires .... for a new car ...

    If that's the case, I may just try to Cup tires and drive slowly when it rains. Somebody suggested that below 50 mph or so, there's less chance of hydroplaning. ???

    Four new tires is way cheaper than an accident.

    You can have it factory delivered with the non cup tyres ( no cost).
    Then you'll get the same tyres as on a Carrera.
    Your OPC should of told you about this option..

    But , please, don't put all season tyres on a GT3...your car will be castrated !!!

    Chipper, these tyres (tires as you guys call them!)are just as good in the wet as a normal tyre worn down to 5mm. They have awesome grip in wet weather, but will only last 4k-ish miles & aren't ideal in standing water!
    You won't have a problem particularly as you are in a nice warm country where more heat will get into the tyres, but if you have lots of standing water on the road you will probably have to change the tyres earlier when they wear down to around the 2.5-3mm level, below this I am told wet weather performance reduces greatly!
    Hope this helps, if you don't want to take the risk ask your dealer if you can have standard N rated tyres from new, you can't in the UK but Hawaii may be different.

    OK, maybe I should just take delivery with the Cup tires (tyres), run them for 4-5K miles or so, and then change them out? At least that would give me a chance to see how the Cup treads work in the rain.

    I barely drive that many miles (4-5k) in one year anyway. Small island, you know.
