Re: OFFICIAL: Porsche 911 (992) GT3 RS - 2022
Seeing I am getting Bumblebee, my salesman decided to have some fun with me and got me a Porsche X Transformer hat, as seen in the goodies bag from the cabin pic.
Car came with Goodyears and not Michelins, seems ok grip at that temperature. Better than the Dunlops I have on the 4RS which I picked up earlier in the year around the same temperature.
the rear wing is so high and big that it doesn’t block vision.
Standard suspension is a bit firmer than the 4RS, almost to the Sports setting on the 4RS I reckoned. Definitely borderline for street driving. Even with sofa seats. The car ride so well on track however, I still remembered the hot lap at Laguna Seca few months back. That was on buckets however.
Steering effort is surprisingly light! I spent plenty of time driving a 992 turbo S around Europe, and this is definitely lighter. Seems a tad quicker too,
Car feels going slower than it really is. I thought I was cruising 50-60km/hr but in fact I am closer to 70km/hr.
And I already banged my shoulder against the wing walking around it, Last time I did that was walking around the GT2RS, this wing is higher and bigger.
Counting the incoming Dakar, I would have gone 6 Porsches in a row without getting one in black. And only 1 out of the last 9 was black. Gold, blue, black, white, silver, pink, purple, yellow and green. Amazing feat I would say.
