Maybe someone can create a file in the pic gallery with all those ads
As someone who just has picked up his first Porsche I love the new Boxster ads in the German newspapers adapting the boxers' language: "Erst die Linke, dann die Rechte, zum Schluß die Gerade"...."first the left, then the right, finally the straight" (sorry for the bad translation - not familiar with the correct boxer's language).

Actually it shows almost the opposite.
It had a much better selection of cars in the mid 80's;
the 928- fastest and most luxurious production car you could buy equivalent to todays 599
the 911- with all its variants cab, turbo, glass roof, targa
the 944- entry level with a turbo version
the 959- 80's version of the CGT
That line-up was much better than todays with a wider choice in perormance, look, and function.
When the panamera comes out, if done right, things will be back to normal as right now there is no flagship. The 997 turbo is not a flagship regardless of numbers. If 928 were still in production, performance would be 599 territory. The 997 and cayman are too similiar. The base 997 should be more powerful and the cayman more affordable, not a slightly detuned 997. 20 flavors of vanilla right now.
Also the racing program was in full gear dominating Lemans with 962. The early 90's currency problem and recesssion almost killed porsche, thats when thing were dark.

There was a great one in Australia a few years ago, there was a picture of a guy sitting in a Boxster with his arm around a girl cruising into the sunset and the caption read:
' You could buy an investment property but, would you look this good?'
Or words to that affect.

but I am trying to search for a great porsche ad, where a woman walks besides a 911 (996 cabriolet), and suddenly the rear wing goes up.....I need to see that ad again, im working for a marketing project, and that is probably a great example, in fact I think its one of the best porsche's ad I've seen
