    Most Popular Colors

    It seems like most people here favor one of the blacks, silvers or grays. I think I see more Artic Silvers on the road than anything else. Does anyone know what the most popular colors actually are? Some of the colors seem so unpopular I'm surprised Porsche continues to make them.

    porsche still have to cater for the arty-type people who like funky colours

    but i agree, the most popular 3 colours on this forum is basalt black, artic silver and seal gray

    Yeah, then it must be true! I'm surprised Basalt is more popular then regular black. Basalt would seem to show flaws almost as much as black and also, because it's metallic, be harder to match if you repainted a panel.

    in the sun basalt black will always look better then plain black, it shines more too

    don't know why Atlas Grey is more popular. It is a beautiful off-black colour.

    I agree that Atlas is beautiful and not as popular as I'd expect either. There's an Atlas Cab in my area with a Cinnamon interior and I lust for it and the blonde who drives it.

    Another vote for Atlas, however...

    what's the best interior color combo to go with Atlas. Black is always fine and grey would probably look good. Has anyone seen either Sand Beige, NBL or Terracotta with Atlas?

    Atlas is definitely a short list color for my next p-car but I can never decide which interior works best. I'd like to go with a lighter color with deviating carpets or maybe one of the new two tone options. I'm not crazy about the two tone seats like the black/grey ones available on the 987.

    The Atlas is so blue, I bet it looks as good with blue leather as black. I like those Sport Designs too.

    Yes. I would have loved a lighter colour but there's something about a black interior that makes me feel secure - almost like I'm being held tightly in place in a cacoon. Make sence?

    Just got back from a trip to Sedona, Grand Canyon, etc. One of the guides was telling us about the Basalt! Hey, I've heard that word. I learned it was a volcanic rock.

    When I purchased my Seal Gray w/black leather, there was an Atlas Gray w/terracotta on the showroom floor. I must admit it was a looker. May be tempted next time around.

    Unless you get the "paint to sample" option you, can really give up on the "be different" idea.

    The color chart is soooo limited. You have silver and grey, dark colors, bold colors and favorite colors. Not alot of difference there.

    I personally think the only colors to get, if you are into the aesthetics of the car, are silver and grey.

    Blacks and dark colors if you want to appear mysterious and sleek.

    Red and yellow if you "want to be noticed."

    White? I dunno WHAT that means.

    The other colors? One chooses them because the desire for one's "favorite" color overrides the interest in the issues above.

    Getting another color than grey/silver also helps a lot if you want to find your car on a parking lot
