My dealer took $2,000 off MSRP to begin, then added the Bose system, heated seats, wheel crests and floor mats...
It was final MSRP roughly 62,000 US, 58,290 final MSRP -- 6% - then again, this is on 2005 prices, though I was assured the same discount would be applied to the '06 model when pricing was released.

Yes, you can get over $5k off MSRP in California. First if you are AAA you get a discount through participating dealers. In the Bay Area it was $3500 from the one dealer that participates. After that I started sending emails to dealers all over the state. $3500 became $4k off. $4k became $4,075. And because of the letter I sent, my final deal was for $5,100 off MSRP. Lot of work, but it was worth it. Good luck down south.

I do also highly reccomend sending emails. This proved very beneficial. You may end up traveling some, but it will be worth it. Nancy, at Niello in the Sacramento area was very good. I actually thought I was going to buy there until the local dealer decided to make nice with me and made an offer I couldn't refuse...and no one else could beat. Good luck.
