    Porsche Cayenne Targa, 2005

    Hi,

    Just read, Porsche will offer 2005 a Targa Version.

    I think they intended it for 04 but there were difficulties getting the design to be rigid enough.

    Last I heard it had been shelved.

    Not my cup of tea but looks good.

    I thought they were going to have a complete redesgin of the Cayenne by 2005.

    Not model year 2005 I wouldn't think. That doesn't seem likely. What did you hear? Complete redesign? I would think only minor cosmetic changes, if anything, for MY 2005, or perhaps more significant cosmetic changes for MY 2006. I don't think they will ever completely redesign it.

    BTW, I am posting from Oklahoma right now and plan to be in Hank the Cowdog territory in the Texas Panhandle for some off-roading on Sunday.

    I couldn't find the link but RC had posted it while ago, could be a rumor, that the Cayenne will go through a complete redesign (exterior) in 2005 MY '06.

    OK, MY 2006 reskin, I could see that. I have seen that rumor as well, maybe here like you said. I can't see the mechanicals changing much though. They havn't even rolled out their whole package yet. The V6 is just coming out and the technical off-road package is to arrive soon. I think this mechanical layout is likely to last awhile.
