    Leather sunvisor option?

    I'm debating the leather sunvisor option on a 987S for an extra $665. It looks like most people don't get them, and my dealer didn't have any Boxsters on the lot with them. What are Boxster peoples view on these, are they worth it, would anyone have any pics?

    Any auto upholstry shop can cover the standard ones with leather for approx 75.00 ea.

    Do it, they will look nicer.

    Not seen the leather ones, but I'n my car (Blk leather) I can really notice the difference between the leather on seats dash etc against the IMO v cheap looking plastic sun visors. You can especially notice at the edges where there should obviously be stitching.

    I'd have liked to spec them myself but thought that Pounds400 or whatever was just too much money!!

    I also have the full leather interior in black, with standard sun visors. To me, in black it's not enough of a deal to justify the extra expense. Yes, the visors would benefit from the leather looks but it's not nearly as big an eyesore as the sports chrono wart, for example.

    I ordered this option for my 987s in cocoa leather and will post pictures as soon as I finally can take delivery of my car. This should happen in the upcoming 2 weeks, I guess.

    Like Nightshade, ordered them, cocoa leather, they look great.
    No pictures though, to busy driving.

    Thanks for all the info! I don't think I'd be brave enough to trust an upholstry shop, I'll probably go with the sand interior and add the leather visors. It sounds like with sand it will really improve the interoir look more than it would in the darker colors.

    If you order the leather visors, do they have those horrid yellow warning labels all over them, as the standard visors do?

    If so, paying extra for the OEM leather visors would be unthinkable.

    by the way..
    choosing the full leather seats does give the interior strongest leather smell right???

    if it has a black interior you wouldn't really notice it, but anything else i'd advice with the leather sun visors, i have them on my 997s cab, and i think it would have looked dreadful without them!

    here is a pic, plus i got no warning stickers on them

    Thanks for the pics Mike & Nightshade! I went for the sand full leather and leather visors for my 987S order , happy I will not have any visor warnings

    I asked my dealer today about the warnings. He said that the leather visors come with warnings but that they peel right off. He told me that most of the people who buy the leather visors do so in order to get the warnings off!

    Can anyone else confirm whether the warning labels are easily peeled off the leather sunvisors in the US?

    Went to the local dealership today (SoCal). They had no leather sunvisors on Boxsters on the lot, but the salesperson said that he thought the leather visor labels were just as hard to remove as the vinyl visor labels.

    Anyone get leather visors in the US?
