ATLANTA - Porsche Cars North America Inc., a unit of German carmaker Porsche AG, reported U.S. April retail sales fell 17 percent to 1,980 cars from 2,388 cars a year ago.
In a press release Wednesday, the company said year-to-date U.S. retail sales fell to 7,051 cars from 8,737 cars a year ago.
The drop in April sales was largely due to a 31 percent fall in total sales of the Boxster model to 934 cars from 1,361 cars a year ago.
