    I'm the kind of person who would have been upset, yes. You're right. But even I can admit that I'm a bit over the top sometimes. My advice could just as easily be aimed at myself. In any case, I'm one for putting my delivery instructions in writing. And I was there when my car was unloaded. If it's a big deal to anybody, then take proper proactive measures, and you won't have to worry. In any case, my real point was that the likelihood of the dealer taking a customer's car out for an unauthorized jaunt is slim at best. Make your wishes clear, and then don't sweat it.

    I think ANY milaege put on by the dealer outside of moving the car on their lot would be unacceptable. I don't know if this thread has answered the question about HOW MANY miles that is.

    JMHO but I think it's totally unacceptable that a dealer would use a CUSTOMER ORDERED specific car for a test drive of any distance whatsoever. If it's one of their OWN cars that you then decide to buy from them because it's on the lot that's different.

    Also, if you have a good detail shop ask the dealer to keep all the factory film and covers on the car. I also requested they don't drill holes for the front license plate.
