Heard of it? I wish I hadn't...
I love everything about the 996TT/TS - but I don't think the inlets on the 996 look at all like those on the 987 or the Cayman. OK, OK, maybe I'm the victim of my own obsession - looking at this stuff too often - but I see a world of difference between the two styles.
No offense intended at all RC, but I have not been fond of the new Boxster/Cayman vents - they just look too much like the Toyota MR2 for me.

Too showy. Too flashy. The only time I liked them was in the photo of the white "Cayman RS" I saw here a while back. If I remember, they were more open, without the screening - like those on the present TT/TS (although the were still shaped like a triangle). They look more real, functional, mechanical, and powerful for some reason that way.
And that's the essence of what I love in Porsche - a marriage of powerful, mechanical performance to beauty and grace - with performance being the more important of the two.
