So you are saying you prefer the diesel engine over the petrol ?
The Diesel probably feels more powerful...and costs less to drive (fuel cost).
I just don't like diesels . I made the mistake with my Q7 . It is nice at the beginning but very quickly you get over the first '' good'' impression . I do not like the short rev span , nor the way the torque is delivered, nor the lag , nor the sound ! 2nd time I got caught by the diesel ...... hopefully I will never fall for that anymore
The SQ7 is pretty nice but if Audi would make a RSQ7 with the 605 hp V8 from the RS6, I would love it.
My wife had a X3 35d with 313 hp. Pretty impressive torque and acceleration but on the Autobahn, it was horrible.
In general, I'm not a fan of turbo engines anymore. The only one I liked (a bit) is the 488 Biturbo V8 but other than that, no thanks. Even the RS6 engine wasn't that great with that typical turbo lag and torque build-up.
I just hope that at some point, someone comes up with a technology which eliminates that turbo lag and "exploding" torque buildup completely, to "simulate" a n/a engine.
