Re: NEW 997 pics i took yesterday...enjoy!
There were a couple of 997 driving around in Zuffenhausen. 
At first sight it slightly changes from the 996 but it was camouflaged so we'll just wait and see...
Nevertheless, i noticed two different variants of exhaust pipes on the 997: 4 exhaust pipes quite similar to those suiting the new maserati quatroporte and 2 rectangular exhaust pipes that we can see on other internet pics.
I also noticed a 997 with ceramic breaks... maybe the 997 S.( it had 4 pipes.)
Enjoy the pics and look at those 19' wheels...

Strictly speaking of the "outside" looks, it simply looks like another 996 model in the line-up, there is as much difference between the other 996 models (996C2 - GT3 - C4S etc) than between the 996 and the 997, so I can see why its nothing to get exited about. I didn't want a departure from the characteristic 911 design but I was expecting a new design in global (in all its parts, windows, etc) not just add-ons on top of the 996 body like different front lights here, mirrors and door handles there, wider hip pannel there, etc.
However we have yet to see what really changed in the "inside" though its still based on the same chasis and engine. If there is a significant increase in handling and perfromance worthy of the term "new model " then I'm bitting the hook for a 997S
and bear with the 995 retro-look, maybe the aerokit fixes it. Otherwise I'll have to wait for the 998 if I can be patient.

I bet you won't wait for the 998. You have to experience each model, 996 then 997 and then 998 so you can tell the improvements.
So when are you putting your deposit for the "S"
?I'm wondering what the Aerokit would lool like myself.

It will have to be after all the first year bugs are cleared up so plenty of time for my will to crumble to pieces if I decided to stubornly wait for a 998 instead, so you are probably right, who I'm I trying to kid
