    sold my Gallardo today...

    ...i couldnt refuse the offer, it was very good for me, i bought the car brand new 1 1/2 year ago, drove it almost everyday, and sold it for almost the same price that i bought it . i just wanted to say that i really enjoyed this car , it was trouble free, very reliable, i really recommend it to whoever like the looks , want to catch 3 different chicks everyday , likes to drive very fast, wants an amazing roadholding, likes to feel adrenaline pumping in his veins each time the engine starts etc etc.. i had the same thrill and happiness the first and last day of ownership, kudos to lambo to make such a great car.
    next step... murcielago LP640... april 08 production, the looooong wait begins...

    the lp640 will be a beast, specially good for the women since it has an extra seat

    the trip few weeks back to germany and switzerland when i drove the LP was a slape in the face, when i came back i knew i had to have one ron. i am actively looking for a tse tse fly to bite me, so i can wake up in 8 months

    Your story reminds of my Boxster in '98. I was happy with the car 217hp (the very first Boxsters) until my friend forced me to test drive his 911 .
    Boxster never appealed to me any more .

    My 996 TT Cabriolet now seems like a sedate cruiser for a similar reason.

    No need to worry about the wait cause the way I see it your schedule for the next 8 months will be as follows:

    Sept-Oct: Preparing for next year's budget.
    Nov-Dec: Closing of your company's books.
    Jan-Feb: Running for cover from Hezbollah/Israel/Syria/Palestinians or what have you.
    Mar-Apr: Contemplating whether you should continue to live in Beirut or not.
    May: Chasing babes in your brand new Lambo, or I should say being chased by women.

    PS. Did I mention that Lahoud will still be in power!

    Congrats! I waited 6 months for a Golf GTI and it was hell, so I can only imagine what a wait for LP640 would be like!

    Dimitri,congratulations it is one of the most beautiful cars on the planet. The sound is to die for and performance is world class. The fact that Lambo is owned by Audi gives you a good security blanket on quality.

    Your gallardo was really great car, but you will get even better car - one of the best cars possible Its hard to be without sports car, but its worth to wait for car like LP640

    Mind you theres always better things around the corner, i soppose you have owned and drove a dream car and not lost any money on doing so, apart from ownership costs fuel and oil changes etc.

    But most cars cost a small fortune to run plus they lose value.

    My friends just had his 2002 seat ibiza 1.2 12v in the local vw garage for repair, it wouldnt start, i had a look at it and couldnt find the problem i dont have a laptop or a fault code reader.

    So he had some vauxhall mechanics to look at it and they couldnt find the problem, at the time i went to my local garage and asked them, they said straight off it was the camchain as seat had a fault with them, and would cost around Pounds400 mostly labour due to it being a big job.

    My friend thought it wasnt that, and had those mechanics look at it, they drained the petrol tank thinking that it was the petrol, they didnt find the problem so it went the local vw garage, if it had gone to seat they wouldnt even tow the car their, it would have cost a fortune.

    Lucky the vw place picked it up for Pounds40 which wasnt bad, and they have fixed it, turns out it was the cam chain but my friends naffed off because it's Pounds577 not Pounds400, but at the end of the day he's spent nearly Pounds8k on the car which he had from 1 year old on finance which he still owes Pounds2400 on it, and he's moaning about a seat design fault which has cost him Pounds577 to put right!

    At the end of the day he was crazy to buy the car, esspecialy when he's stuck in a dead end job and got no money after paying his rent and car hp.

    At that is a good garage which has gone him a good job at a good price, there only charging me around 180 to fit a clutch and box on the vr6...

    He's have known about it if he'd got it to the local seat it would have been getting on for 1k i can bet!

    Still struggling with the color but apart from that it will have the most important options like E-gear, ceramic brakes, navsat, premium audio etc
