J.Seven:Prefer the F12 to this one. I love the Aventador and it´s probbly the most impressive exotic regarding design, the F12 next to it almost pales, but F would be my choice. Sometimes less (regarding design) is more

There is always a newer car coming, I like that they keep updating them like McLaren. Porsche model is too stagnant, they introduce a car then nothing for 3/4 years whereas competition marches on. You feel good if you buy early on but stupid if you buy late in the cycle and usually dealer discount reflects that. It is an outdated scheme.

You know, as a customer you think otherwise. As a customer you want stability...
Porsche and Ferrari are good - the others have a problem with their model strategy

488 Spider debuted before most people in the US even got their coupe... Sure, you have a chance of getting it early, but not a very good one.
I'm with the others that say they should bring their latest and greatest as soon as possible. Give people the chance to own the best car money can buy at any given time.
Besides, a new SV testing is no different that Ferrari. The 488 Speciale has been in testing a while now, you just haven't seen the mule yet, or at least weren't aware you saw it. All these cars are a given. They're all coming out, you know it, and you generally know when.
It's not like you can order an Aventador S SV yet, or whatever they'll call it.

bluelines:The farmer:Well, when ordering a P or F you at least have some chance to receive your car before the next generation is presented....
Unless you ordered an R
Well technically if we count the GT3 as next gen, all the Rs are sort of delivered and received.....even though mine is still on a boat somewhere coming to me.
Topspeed:Performante or updated SV
I rather think updated SV with Performante active aero. 760 or 770 hp?
Should be interesting because such a car could potentially break their Huracan Perfomante's Nordschleife "record".

Whoopsy:bluelines:I don't count the 991.2 GT3, but the fact that the R is a 991.1 and that the 991.2 has been sold for a long time before the first R was delivered.
And I had been saying the R is a parts bin special beta car for a while...........
Nick, you made the right choice. If there is no other special model with the same tech (Speedster seems to be off the table) and if the new GT3 doesn't get a wing delete, the 911 R will be a very good investment. Actually, even if the GT3 gets a wing delete (which is still not clear).

Its just hard to see where it sits within the variants now the gen2 GT3 is available in manual. Porsche is milking the 991 last runs big time but its over the top now imo...........
