Gnil:Leawood911:It would take some years for the investment to be profitable regarding EVs. It would be interesting to make the gt3 owners buy the two Tacans required. I wonder how that would go?
Some dot it partially. When you want to order a GT3 RS, they ask you to also order a Taycan .
Actually Porsche asks the dealer to buy the 2 Taycans when they get a GT3/ RS. Then up to them to find a way to sell them. No wonder some dealers don't want to have too many GT3/RS
This could be only valid in Europe, at least in Switzerland it is. Maybe not in the US ?
In the US, most Porsche dealerships would be happy to take 2 of anything to sell with a GT3 RS. I think many dealer lots are largely empty these days. I would guess they sell Taycans somewhat easily and that a Panamera may be the most difficult model to sell...

I’ve just ordered a GTS coupe too (my first 911!). It’s not expected to be delivered until 12-18 months time. My initial spec is for agate grey but I’m seriously considering going paint to sample, viola metallic perhaps. I’ll sure I’ll be asking on here for help with the final spec closer to the time!

When is the 992 facelift coming? It should be around that time if not a earlier, given that the 992 debuted in late 2018 with production in early 2019.
Did the people at the OPC say anything about this?
"Porsche....and Nothing else matters"

They said the facelift would normally be due for MY24 - I.e next Autumn. But they have no idea if that will happen given the supply chain issues at the moment. Usually they would facelift the carrera/carrera S models first and the GTS would follow, so it will be a case of waiting and seeing.
Wonderbar:Ziggy, I did order the black gloss exterior package. I like GT silver, but think it needs as much shine as possible or it might look a bit “dirty“. I got the Bordeaux/black interior, to add a bit of color as well.
Beautiful car. The red calipers make sense with the Bordeaux/Black interior, although black calipers work great too. I also like that your spec mirrors that of the launch 992 Turbo S configuration.

$100k for 4 seconds?
Maybe the MR kit costs less this time (things like Aluminum wheels instead of Magnesium)?

If I don't get a RS allocation I had thought of getting this kit. Seems like a lot of money for just the cache of saying you have the MR kit...I'm not a good enough driver to suss out 4 seconds over a ~7min lap.

I doubt anyone could feel the 1% difference...

A really subtle touring. I needed to look twice at the images to notice that your new 911 is a touring. In the last image, I note that there is a locator tab at the bottom of the door and previously don't recall seeing this on other 992s. Is this a new addition or something specific to the GT3/Touring?

I think that thing on the door inserts into the bottom of the frame when the door is closed and is part of the safety features of the car (locks the door closed from there in a rollover or something - or maybe contributes to theft prevention). I've noticed it on my car too.
