So, it would seems like global warming isn't from humans after all. The Earth's core is cooling faster than expected, with the mantle conducting more heat than people first thought. Where do those heat goes? Straight out to space, passing the Earth crust and atmosphere and heating them up in the process.

All the talk about 'saving the Earth' with EVs and whatnots are just lies.

True science don't lie, scientists do, people do. Just like how back in the days the 'scientists' that observe the sky claimed the Earth is the centre of the universe, oh how wrong they are with the passing of time. Not unlike those 'scientists' right now that care claiming man made global warming. Or wait, they changed the name since the Earth isn't doing what they claimed, it's called 'climate change' now. Duh! Earth's climate have always been changing, by itself.

True science is not sealed in the marble, it keeps evolving.

when the argument stops because there is only one truth then it becomes religion.

Look at COVID, vaccines and all the mess we live in since 2 years now. Smiley best example of our modern time...

Whoopsy, there is no global warming. Come to Russia now, its freaking cold. Moscow -10, wind and snow. Siberia -30-40. It doesnt feel warmSmiley

    Re: Porsche Mission R...

Love the ecology topic. There is the new eco project proposal, I call it water for africa. While Bill Gates is busy washing money producing water from shit and pee, Greta Thumberg should put the order on WasserJuggernaut. Sail on it to the north pole, take the excessive water, transport it to africa and unsalt it there (of course on the factories working on solar panels). The excessive salt that remains from salt water must be melted and electrolised to get the Natrium back. Natrium will be used for li ion batteries feeding our evs. Profit! Eco! Global warming will help us! Of course, mr Vettel on the wheel.

But this cooling off the core has been happening since it formed during the Earth's birth, it's a slow gradual procees, it wouldn't affect the roller coaster climate changes though Earth's history, that is why the earth has experienced cycles of both global warning and cooling, not just warning, we even had global glaciations, and recent global warning has been happening in a blink of an eye on geological time scales, this core cooling is not happening now, whether it's been happening faster or slower than obviously calculated doesn't matter, even if it's speeding up, it would be on a different time scale than climate changes, and it's been happening since 4.5b years, just like the moon is moving farther away from the earth and the Earth's rotation is slowing down, etc.

    Re: Porsche Mission R...

Carlos, to be serious, there are lots of the factors that have to be taken into consideration. Whoopsy is right about the core, but there is also sun activity, changes in atmospehere and so on. All these changes are not linear. They can happen fast, and long and the human influence on it... the same as cows one. Its there but for planet health its not so important.

Also, every planet, is a balanced organism. If somewhere there is warmer, that means that somewhere its becoming colder. Its not about warming everywhere.

Exactly. There is still much to learn about our own planet, before anyone can draw 'conclusive' conclusion. The Earth's orbit around the sun isn't a 'stable' one, there are variations in distance to the Sun, not just within a year, but year to year. That cycle is about 100,000 years. The earth's tile also isn't stable, it varies by a couple degrees up and down, this cycle is about 41,000 years, our Earth is right round middle of the range right now, slow moving towards more upright, which brings milder climate changes. Then there is the wobbling of our spin, which carries it's own influence, and cycles around 25-26,000 years. All these factors combined to influence's the Earth climate.

That is not counting the Sun's sunspot cycles, or the rate of the Earth's core cooling and transmitting heat upwards from within, that last bit also isn't quite a straight forward either, it could have it's own cycle on how much heat is emitted or it could be a 'constant' thing, it will take time to study and investigate.

The alarmists like to use the Celsius scale for 'big' temperature changes to scare people. But scientifically, temperatures are measured in Kelvins, not Celsius. In Kelvin terms, those 'big' numbers suddenly became tiny fractions. That 2 degrees increase they wanted to stress by going from 15 degree Celsius to 17 degrees? It's a 13% change on Celsius scale, but it's only 0.67% in absolute temperature terms, aka the Kelvin scale. Almost like a rounding error now.

I doubt that government’s and those in power would all get together and lie about global warming just to further their own interests in control and wealth via taxation and bribery. Nah. They would not lie to us about a life and death emergency which has time and time again been proven to be so correctly forecast and predicted.  To consider such minor temp disturbances vs mans giant footprint should be the kind of criminal disinformation we have empty prisons for.
And don’t worry about the pollution in your rivers and drinking water. The planet is almost all water. Lots left.

About the prison - agree)) About water - its a bit different situation. The most water is salt, so you need a very energy consuming process to clean the water from salt and the to use this salt (natrium, kalium and etc) somewhere else. Like in my "project" above, the salt can be melt and electrolised to recover the metal the salt appeared from. There are lots of application for K and Na - batteries, fetilizers...

    Re: Porsche Mission R...

Pretty sure that giant volcano eruption that just happened spewed out enough CO2 to change the air more than a million cars? Or a billion cars?

Not even counting all the sulphurs and whatnots that's are considered poisoning to human environment. Time to pump out another billion EVs to offset that!

As I often say - I bought mine because it is the most fun car to drive I have ever owned. Period. By a huge margin. Two years and 34k miles into it, zero problems and still on its first set of pilot sports. Amazing.  Nothing compares but that is just my opinion after daily driving 911 Porsches for 40+ years.  So not a big deal.
I would have never bought it to save the environment because I’m not so convinced it is in danger from CO2, but from politics we are all in danger.

    Re: Porsche Mission R...

meanwhile over here in cyprus we are restricted by the amount of photovoltaics we are allowed to put on our roof, even though we have more than enough place for them. They don't want/allow us to be self sufficient and no longer pay extortion like fees to the public utility, it's criminal. I mean the subsidize electric cars, but when I want to be 100% green in my home they don't allow me.  Max is 10kw of solar, and even with that they install a kill switch on our meter, in case we produce to much. How is this allowed in Europe is beyond me....

    Hi Moser! Interesting case!

One my friend in Czech Republic has built his own solar energy station about 7 years ago. Back then he had the support from government and now his business - to sell the electricity. However, if you want to build your own solar panel station now - the "support" is so, that there is no even a business case to build it)) no more profit anymore))

Same will be with EV cars. Its pure socialism and nonmarket conditions, thats why this topic lives. Its a joke when EV car is sold cheaper, f.e. in Norway, than the ICE car. I love this Thatcher quote, its immortal: "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."
