I'm not RC but there you go,
Every body panel on the 997 is different to the 996 excet the roof which is missing on the cab, so there you go, totally new car!
Although it doesn't strike the eye immediatly, the 997 is quite different from the 996.
The difference is biggest in the front, completely different front spoiler, more graceful than the 996 4S cab and of course, the round lights.
Typically Porsche, at first you wonder what the fuss is all about, and then it grows on you gradually.
The 997 4S cab is more muscular than the equivalent 996 but also the lines flow better, it's subjective, but I personally think it's much better looking and good thing it doesn't have the cheap red plastic stripes, a bit too 80's.

The front gives it away with the new headlights clusters, and from the back, with your model, it's the red stripes missing on the 997 that gives it away.

I don't have the sports exhaust. Athough Mike, I wish I did!! I have the dual pipe exhaust system instead. I have been considering adding the sports exhaust on my car, but I haven't decided if I really want to do it or not. Here are some more pictures
