Oh, come on now.
The 964 turbo had a "reverse locking" differential that locked up on over-run in order to make the car push when lifting off the gas. This was a vast improvement over the 930's throttle-induced handling dynamics.
A Porsche dealer friend once told me that of the 930s he had sold, about one third of them had been crashed backwards through a back-road fence at one time or another.
The 964 turbo was completely docile by comparison.![]()
