    Did she give you a name? We all need to address our letters to the same person and I would suggest that the Managing Director is the best route as if he finds out that he is getting some adverse PR on a website he may be more inclined to respons in a positive manner. What is his name?

    In the meantime I have sent off an e-mail to the OPC in Edinburgh where I bought my Cayenne from. If I get no joy with them I will contact the OPC at Silverstone whom I bought my 997 from though I think they are less likely to help based upon previous experience.

    Thanks for the info. RE: softwar upgrade - maybe this will give us the MP3 play capability too.

    No updates from my dealer as yet. Just for info. my dealer confirmed no additional cost - pure good customer service rather than compensation for any problems. I just raised the fact that the manual clearly states TMC functionality if the region within which has TMC capability. Quite clearly the UK does and the DVD doesn't have the feature - thus, under a trade description act point of view, Porsche should give this Free of charge.

    ISUK - I didn't catch her name unfortunately.

    With regard to the TMC issue, I'm not exactly clear about this and obviously want to be if I'm writing a letter. Those of you who know, and are writing a letter, cld you post what you have written about this issue? Equally, it would probably help if we knew the date of the DVD itself, don't suppose anyone has access to their car now to have a quick look? For example, if it says 2003 or similar on a car delivered in 2005, you'd think we would have a good case.

    As Prashan says I think we have a strong case based upon the wording of the manual as the UK supports TMC yet the PCM does not receive it due to either the NAV DVD or software not receiving it. I have found that if I am on B roads I have to keep the screen set to something like the 0.2miles view or the road diasappears from the screen and I appear to be driving acxross fields. This is very poor as you cannot keep zoomed out to see possible points of interest or alternatives routes.

    I agree - most annoying with the lack of detail at anything other than minimum scale. I believe the new dvd has improved detail. As I explained to my OPC it would be nice to have the TMS which my 1999 build BMW 3 series touring had on its navigation system. In any event I am pressing for a more up to date DVD as a freebee.
