    Update on the jammed ignition key problem

    Finally went into my dealer today, after the ignition key issue became unbearable any longer.

    Turns out I'm not the only one. Seems there is a problem with a microswitch in the Tiptronic gate which makes the car believe the selector is still in gear (and hence it won't release the key).

    The fix is to completely replace the entire tiptronic selector apparently!! (warranty of course) Car is booked in next month. I'll let you know if it works...

    sorry to hear about that, hope it gets sorted out quick

    but IMO that's why porsche's should stay stick-shifts
