    Aerokit

    Hey all you Porsche Lovers!!

    Can anyone help me out???
    Does anyone have pics of a arctic carrera S with the kit on??
    Can it be retrofitted??
    Lastly, does it have a big negative effect on the ground clearance thus usability of the car? I know the ground clearance on the standard Cs is low, but it does not cause much hindrance..
    help will be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Anyone know what is the clearance distance from the splitter lip to the ground vs the clearance with the stock bumper.

    NO NO NO!!
    Yes, the standard 911 shape is the most B E A U T I F U L
    shape ever to come out of a car factory, but for someone looking for i bit more aggression, this will do perferctly..
    you cant argue with this.. the when someone sees a 997 on the road, he/she will have a big reaction, but thats because its a new Porsche with THAT shape, not because its a flashy car that screams Look At Me (ie:Gallardo)
    Getting that kit should get you a reaction kinda like that...

    Anyway, does anyone know about how much the kit affects ground clearance???

    I think there is a small diffuser fitted in between the tail pipes. You can kind of see it in the pic.

    Yes...
    A GT3rs doesnt look nice at all in most pics(IMO), but if you see one driving past you on the road or screaming past on a track you cant help but stare..
    There is a huge difference between how you perceive cars on pictures and in real life.. unless you have seen this car in real life and you really dnt like it..

    I have to agree, my local showroom has an aerokitted car in silver as per the posted pics.

    In real life it is far more imposing and far more impressive than the pictures show. I think it looks great!!

    As I have previously stated. I love it and thus ordered it.

    As for ground clearance, I think it looks quite high off the ground.Certainly not low enough to cause problems on most UK roads (or multi-level car parks). When I saw the car last week (an S), I expected it to be somewhat lower!

    Hi,
    Would you be kind to visit your local dealer at your earliest convenience to quantify the grounf clearance with a measuring tape. I am also considering this option but would need some confirmation that it would not pose any problems on my country's roads. Your kind assistance is appreciated.

    I saw it in real as well and I like the standard plain shape much, much more. The aerokit is looking so attached as if it does not belong to the car originally. Which in fact it is.

    I would have liked it more if the side sills had that diagonal lip that runs across it though, as an a 996 GT3/GT3rs...
