Extended crank ( the next chapter )
Okay so when last I posted on this, I had requested Porsche give me a replacement vehicle after the 4th unsuccessful attempt to resolve the problem. So in goes the request, and the wait started. During this period the car went back to the dealer for another attempt, no luck. This is truely a one-of-a-kind problem. No one on any board or at any level at Porsche has seen this before.
So yesterday I get a letter from Porsche stating they are going to buyback my car. Today I get a phone call to get the paperwork started. I told the gal that called that I just wanted a replacement. I was told that Porsche was only offering a buyback. I advised I just wanted a replacement, same response. I was told if I wanted another car, I would have to order a new car from my dealer. Only problem is this is my only car and what am I to do for a vehicle while the order is working. No answer to this question.
I checked dealer inventory for a 500 mile radius, and nothing even close to my spec.
California lemon law specifies either buyback, or replacement. Any of you, especially the legal types, have any suggestions as to what my next move should be. I really like my 987S and just want one that doesn't have this little electrical gremlin. Any help will be gratefully appreciated.
