    Help, where's my P-car?

    The last I was told was that it was completed back on Monday, 10/17. I called the salesperson early Friday, 10/21 to ask the status as it could have made the 10/20 boat. No call back. I emailed him early Monday, 10/24 to ask again. No reply.
    Is there anyome here who could get me the status or any info on my car? If someone answers yes, I'll be happy to PM them the Order #.

    Throt, well it was Battleship Grey so maybe it's still headed to Papa but as a U-Boat! Whoops, maybe shouldn't make U-Boat references?

    Can't help with your question, but to give you a rough idea, mine was built Sept 2 and arrived at the dealership in Toronto Sept 30th.

    No, no-one here has offered to help me locate my P-car.
    That's o.k. (not really), I figure the salesman will call me when he wants money but it sure would be nice to know where the car is so I can plan on when to sell some securities ahead of time. It's not like I've bugged them, I haven't. If I knew I'd get my $3,000 back I'd call and cancel the order.

    Why cancel? You don't sound like someone excited about the near arrival of their new car!

    Oh, I'm excited. I just learned that it didn't make the boat. It's code is now IMPINV so I guess it'll make the next one. I've been thinking lately that a Boxster might be more the car for me, that's all. I guess I like to make myself crazy. The waiting will do that I guess.

    Yeah... I really can understand why you feel like you do, but to go as far as cancelling your order?

    Go online and find a similar car. Use that as a threat for the dealer guy and tell him if he doesn't hussle to get you a correct answer you'll cancel and buy that one Better yet call the GM.

    I swallowed my pride and called the salesman. He said since there was no change in status (it did change status, from CMPPRD to IMPINV but who's splitting hairs) he didn't get back to me. Guess it must be tough to send out an email letting me know.
    He said it should arrive in 2 to 3 weeks.
    I guess I'm happy again or mollified or something like that.
    He also said it would be the first Carrera 4 Cab coming. I said, sure, everyone else ordered the 4S.

    Thanks again fellow P-car fans. Just received an email from (my now highly thought of) salesman and my car is ON VESSEL to Brunswick, GA!
    I added a bottle of Seal Grey touch-up paint and the battery minder.
    I can smile again.
