Not a fan of Shmee but this is really sad, I really feel for him.

DaveGordon:I got about 3 mins in before having to switch off - a truck crashed into the side of him while he was driving in the middle lane of a UK motorway on the way to Goodwood FoS.
Thank you for saving me from having to also do it!
What a shame about the Senna

JimFlat6:Middle Lane of the M25, why oh why....Bad luck.
And Salomandrin has got nothing but grief from McLaren also. He really needs Nick to fix them good.
Salomondrin kind of threw the towel regarding McLaren and I'm not quite sure it was the right thing to do, I am pretty sure that with some persistence/perseverance and a friendly "tone", he could have achieved more. He may have gotten impatient or he just was fed up with them, I don't know but I think that Salomondrin could have reached some sort of agreement with McLaren, if not for a new Senna (which is probably difficult for them), for the next 970LT or whatever it will be called. Now I guess Salomondrin burned all bridges behind him but I also have to admit that I don't like at all how McLaren handled the whole situation. A 720S and Senna customer should be treated differently, no matter if they like him or not.

ha:I really admire the way Shmee handled the accident thing in the aftermath.. I like this youtuber for the way he spreads positivity in todays never-ending cars youtubers and it clearly showed in his follow up videos of the incident.
Assume most people are stupid and hope they surprise you.

Yes, I admire how he handled it (well, he had no other choice anyway ) but I don't like his "positivity", simply because it is fake and he never criticizes anything on the cars he reviews. I can read the sales brochure myself, don't need Tim to read it for me. The videos are good though, good quality and often with details. I prefer Doug Demuro though when it comes to "describing" cars, he does a very good job and goes into every tiny detail.
There aren't any good car reviewers out there, simply because none of them can be honest. Honesty bans you from getting cars from manufacturers.

Chris Harris, Matt Watson, Harry Metcalfe, people from Carfection, Petrolicious, etc. are great car reviewers / car content generators.
And whether you like him or not (I don't like his content) Shmee is his own league when it comes to show in a certain way certain aspects from the automobile industry and car ownership, he understood perfectly how to engage with younger audiences. Doug Demuro tough, he is extremely boring and old fashioned on how he does videoblogging, I can't understand how he gets millions of views in his videos with such 90's tv show brouchure reading like.

Are you kidding? My kids hate Shmee, so is every other kid I know. They just watch his videos because sometimes, he has "cool" cars in them. Doug Demuro is boring indeed but he has a way going into details which make some of his videos very attractive. For a car enthusiast definitely interesting.
Regarding Shmee: I know two people who met Tim (Shmee) personally and both told me that when he is off-camera, he is completely different, a very nice and pleasant guy. I want to believe it but his videos make it very very hard for me.

Schmee to me seems like a very nice guy on the videos, the problem is that he is annoying to listen to (his smile, vocalisation, tone, etc) and he offers no real interesting info or critical comments, it is just a manufacturer commercial. I guess I'm just not in his target audience.

I find his videos a little too enthusiastic for me too and his voice is grating. But he really is a nice guy in person and is genuinely a car guy (if not the best driver).

nberry:Grant, did you meet him at the Ring?
Yes, it was his first time there with his Ford GT (my friend and I were inadvertently part of his video in my friend's white GT3 Touring)...
We BS'd with him in the parking lot for a few minutes beforehand and he was friendly (but clearly nervous for his GT).

Interesting that the GT3RS is faster than the GT2RS...
The extra 200hp and 300NM must be holding back the 2

GT-Boy:An incredibly poor time from the GT2RS. Perhaps it was raining on that day or the tires were used up.
I don't know, some of the numbers don't add up. Maybe different drivers? Different driving conditions?

ALDO:Cool my car is a second faster then 918 😉💪🏼
Not really...the Spider is certainly a bit slower than the Coupe.

My spider is coming next year - I have still the faster coupe.
So you are giving up the faster car for the slower one?
