Doubtful. All information thus far points to a revised model released late '04 as an '05. However, Porsche has always held these things so secret no one knows until they show up! Watch for minor tweaks or cosmetic updates yearly, but a totally revised model is expected in late '04. Latest rumor.

Strange thing over here in Germany
Porsche offers a special leasing on all 996 (except 996 Turbo and GT3) over here in Germany. This special leasing is only valid for the next few months. Porsche usually does that when there are some significant changes to come for the next MY. However it seems that Porsche sales slowed down a bit over here and maybe this is the main reason for it, don't know.
Personally I highly doubt that Porsche introduces the 997 for MY 2004 (summer 2003), this wouldn't make much sense. They just introduced the GT3 with the look of the 996, they introduce the new 996 Turbo Cab and 996 C4 S Cab around spring...with the same look. Doesn't make sense to introduce the 997 for MY 2004.
My guess is that the earliest introduction date for the 997 will be MY 2005. If 996 sales go well in 2003, the 997 introduction might be even "delayed" until MY 2006.

Car sales is just going down by the hours in the U.S.. You find very few well off people that still write a check for the whole thing.
I know for a fact that Boxster sales has passed the slow down is pretty much stalled, my Porsche sales guy told me last week.
Probably Porsche's best bet would be introducing the Boxster Turbo as opposed to 997 in the next few years.

Gregg, I think testdrv123 meant it will be a MY 2004 car. 
I also think that the GT3 and the Turbo Cab will be MY 2004 cars (despite the spring introduction) but you never know.
As soon as I have details, I post them.
