This is one of the better pictures I have seen yet. On others the car looks quite horrible...
Interesting car but the rear reminds me of the BMW 6 series. I also think the car is a bit overstyled but I guess this is Mercedes' new design language (probably to appeal to a younger crowd).

Not bad except IMO the heavy and boxy snout, like most of the recent Mercedes cars.
Apparently, Mercedes designers haven't been able to find an elegant way of dealing with the pedestrian safety regulations that necessitate the engine to move further back into the body. Hence the ungainly IMO, heavy front.
In this class I would go for a Panamera (4 door but equally sporty looking and I expect not losing in handling) or a Bentley GT.

I figured the same... the car looks nice from certain angles but I can´t help thinking that they cater to a younger, less conservative crowd with this particular car. For me, it lacks a bit of elegance and classical style that the last two exuded.

ped safety regs have forced most front -engined cars to adopt a bull- nosed side profile
lovely and sleek
nicest MBZ interior
but what's up with the model emblem directly under the rear star ?

I see influences of the Audi A5, BMW 6 Series and - dare I say it - traces of the Honda Accord coupé.
Regardless of the heritage, I think this is BY AND FAR the most beautiful offering in the Mercedes-Benz line-up: elegant silhouette, stunning proportions and beautiful flowing lines. I don't find it overstyled but I think it's at the very edge of "well-styled" - any more and it might be overdone but other than that, this is a truly excellent and coherent design that screams sophistication and affluence while being completely silent.
Well done, Mercedes-Benz. Well done.

Never liked any Mercedes.... nor the AMG series... except SLS.... Their new design language does make the car look "fashioner", but it also look outdated very quickly.... The A class and CLA.... initially looks good, however, just after a year, the front looks very dated and not as tasteful as the old Mercedes.... Perhaps just me, but I found this new design language very unacceptable..... feels like no differences from Honda....

Agree, stunning car.
Car looks much better real life than on pictures, inside is very luxurious but not sporty at all, I think regular S coupe class clients will love this new proposition, I do and this is not my type of car. Anyway between this and the new Bentley Coupe I would opt for the British no question asked.

If I had to pick between this or a Bentley - The Bentley would win. I am very excited to see the new AMG GT in July.

The car that was displayed in Geneva, even though glitzy (metallic white body, white leather interior everywhere, a sort of metallic white "wood" inserts, AND Swarovski crystals in the front lights ) looked very good. A very well proportioned large Mercedes. An opulent large coupe with beautifully sculptured lines, state of the art technology and very dependable like all large Mercedes have been. IMO the default choice in this class.

Agreed. The small changes they made to the Conti really made it a great looking car.

Just not my cup of tea.I also don't get those chrome applications (window frames, front spoiler, tail light frames, etc.) on a black car with black rims. I prefer the Bentley, sorry. Performance-wise however, the Mercedes should be very nice to drive.

Bentleys are not so reliable and give lots of problems. They are represented by the same people who import Porsche in Cyprus and share the same premises. I know the technicians well who keep telling me how troublesome they are compared to Porsche. I am surprised since VW should have sorted them by now.

I wasn't aware that Bentleys have issues. Talked to a Bentley Continental GT Cab owner in Miami about his car, my wife was admiring it and the owner was very friendly. It was his third Bentley and he said they were completely trouble free. The car was kind of a baby blue with a tan interior and no, this guy was married. Looked great...for my wife.
