How much is that?

Back again!
No price but by looking at the site I can tell it'll be more than ceramic brakes probably.

I don't think thats a coupe...the picture is on an angle "squishing" the car making it look like a 2 door.
at 1:04 in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxYkOQVYr0o&feature=related pause it, it will look like a 2 door coupe as well, but its not.

Geez, that's a new way to disguise a million frickin' buttons. Pattern them with trim so they almost look like a texture. I'll give it a B+ grade.
Still, I'd prefer less "junk" perhaps buttons could light up when your hand gets near them. At other times they go completely black. Like the "button-ish" passenger airbag warning light goes black on our rear center console.
Oh! I've been wondering since day one: what about rear seat headroom? Has anybody heard anything about that? I doubt guys will fit back there without getting neck problems.

Those rear seat headrests will kill whatever little rear visibility this thing had.
As I like the look on that rear seats I have to admit that I would have them after the second day because the rear view.
Be honest - how many times do you have someone in the back of your car? Maybe the kids, but those are most of time that small that they dont need the head rest at all.

ed_moree:The elevation of the centre console containing the gear lever and the buttons is also interesting. I think no one has done something similar till now. Inspired by the Carrera GT perhaps.
That is a HUGE transmission tunnel!!! And I do agree that the rear TV screens look very like a last minute add on.... But I do like the shape of the seats and door panels. The dashboard has lost that ... small and I don´t know how to name it... intimate (?) feeling of the 911 and the other sports cars. But in the end this car is for old rich people.. so maybe they are right.

It's not where you're going, it's how you get there that counts
Exactly, on the video from the Panamera site it says that the centre console was inspired by the Carrera GT. Pity it is not suspended like the Carrera GT´s one.

I heard that the reason for the "large" dimensions of the Panamera, was that criteria used for the scope of work was that W W would be able to sit comfortably in the back seats.

EricAlain:How was the in-flight entertainment units? I only assume the reason that they are SO big is that each unit has it's own DVD player built in. LCD screens that fat died out in the 90's!
I had the opportunity to seat in the rear and there is plenty of headroom and legroom .... I'm 5"9 (1.80m) and 80kg (176lb)... and YES, W. Wiedeking can seat comfortably in the rear....

Rear looks quite a bit roomier than CLS, more head room too.
Nice to see Porsche finally do the sensible thing and put a proper cupholder in the car, no more complicated folding plastic contraptions that do not hold anything with liquid.
Pity Porsche don't show cars with carbon fibre trims, the black wood looks ok as one don't really see the wood grain but the brown one's just plain hideous. Porsche and wood just don't mix.

As much as I can't understand why they would make such a un sporty and ugly stationwagen exterior rear half, I like this interior very much, I like the high centre console, very sporty, I like the arrangement of buttons, very functional, I like the designs of the seats, sporty and modern, I like the tach in the centre of the instrument cluster, a declaration of its sportiness DNA, the rear seats look roomy.
But these color combo's and those prosthetic TV screens are killing my eyes!
Even though I'm not a big fan of busy interiors, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I really dig the slopped center console- I have always hoped they would adopt that concept from the GT and bring it to the 911 as it provides a cozy and sporty feeling.
But why all those buttons? Honestly, how often do you fiddle with the climate control? Personally, I always configure the car to my liking with all those advanced settings once and that's it! An i-Drive sytsem is good for that and helps reduce the visual clutter. Isn't that the point of an automatic climate control?
I concur that some basic settings (top5 used) should be accessible via buttons directly, but apart from that...i-Drive all the way.
Apart from that it looks really good in my opinion.
intouch1:
lcd screens look ridiculous....worst integration ever seen. even in the chineses brilliance the reartainmnet looks better.

Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you.
It looks very after-market, apparently Porsche doesn't trust the success of this stuff or they outsourced the development completely, resulting in such hideous solutions. Pathetic for such a luxury limousine.
The interior doesn't look too bad in my opinion, it "fits" a premium product pretty well.
The exterior is a different story, I wish Porsche would have put more designer power and fantasy into the exterior design, especially the rear part.
EricAlain:It was actually Mr. Wiedeking who requested more head- and leg room, so yes, there should be plenty for everybody up to 1,90 m of height.
