    WorldCarFans claims it will have a turbocharged V10 5.2 liter engine (the one from the S6\S8)..

    The R8 isn't that heavy.. i believe they will put a high-rev V10 like in the gallardo and not the R8-BiTurbo.

    Kreso I agree that the 6 dosent have space for a biturbo V10. I seriously do NOT think they will have a V10 in the S6 and a V8 in the RS6. Therefore i think they will use a High Revving NA V10 FSI with 520-550 HP.

    They won't use a high-revving V10 for a simple reason: The M5 already has 530-540 bhp with a 7-speed gearbox, RWD and less weight. The only way to be faster (and justify the higher price) is to make it more powerful.

    I don't know about the power figures, but the engine in this test car was definitly a V8 and no V10...

    Shouldn't they try to position the R10 as their top-of-the-league product (with maximum hp)? If the RS6 were to get more than 550hp chances are high that the R10 looks just second best (on paper)

    It's the same with the 911 Turbo vs. the Cayenne Turbo, so it shouldn't really hurt it that much. Wouldn't mind seeing 600 bhp in the R10, though .
