If I am not mistaken the Veyron was build with the same reliability goals as a normal VW - hence the huge development costs against the Mercedes which now to me at least looks bad as the performance is not much away from a 765LT. If I had a allocation I surely would have cancelled it - the F1 tech is pointless.

Its really hard to see what Mercedes has actually accomplished with the AMG One outside of making an incredibly complicated heavy car that isn't going to blow anything away on the track.

Let's be real here: Mercedes made a collector's car, nothing more and nothing less. They knew exactly that with changing emissions and other laws, the car won't be the monster they planned it to be. Performance is meh and weight is ridiculous.
