Yeah, I gotta say the more I see the various lighting in the photos of Cobalt Blue the more I'm falling for that color.

I haven't seen one in person yet.

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

The Slate grey is geogeous; especially with those PCCBs. Nice car.

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

BTW, 997CarreraS' car is Atlas Grey in case you guys were wondering.

gradyex, I'm not going to say what the camera mount was for yet but I have a feeling that you guys will love it. I'm still waiting for the picture to arrive from the photographer.

I absolutely love Cobalt Blue the more I see it. It really is a stunning color.

Hey Subbie, do you have a more flattering pic of that leather covered PCM? Current one is good for information purposes but the flash is kinda strong to make it look great.

I'm thinking of ordering it even though it's us$2300 (!?)

I'll get that for you tomorrow.

All I can tell you is that it makes the interior, but for a price. I wanted to take out all the volcanic gray that is stock, ie: PCM, Y on the steering wheel, and carbon on the other parts.

I get it. I'm definitely not happy with VG next to all those black buttons. Makes it look functional..., like a cop car.

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

Looks great, I'm thinking about the PCM in leather, Carbon Package and Carbon Switch Panel with Sea Blue. I'm going to leave the seat backs volcano, though. BTW, I think PCM in leather is $2070 for 2008 as reported by another poster (sorry, I don't remember what thread it was in).

MY 997S is Cobalt Blue. I'm going to place my order for the Turbo in September. I was considering Forest Green, but I think it's probably too dark for what I have in mind. Will probably do a custom color - Racing Green - with either Terracotta or Tan interior...

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

frankly all these pix of pristine turbos are getting a bit boring imo...best so far choppers cause it looks well used as intended...heres my pristine gr tt seen in a different light.

Great effect! You could sell that as a poster.

In fact, where can I order it?

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

Here's the picture that came out of that special setup I posted a picture of earlier.

    Artistic enough for you, Stan?

Looks better. Thanks a million! Still, stark daylight isn't very flattering to anybody or anything.

My concern was how they'd get a "thick" piece of leather to work in that application. IOW, could they do it in such a way that the thickness wouldn't show next to the tiny switches? Afterall there's a huge number of places where the not-perfectly-supple leather comes close to the switches and could look irregular, differently colored, and messy.

Looks like they figured it out!

    Niiiiice.

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

Very cool, Atomic. Did you have to Photoshop the rig out?

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

Here's another view of the leather PCM that I took a while back.

    Thanks a80.

Looks like a good incentive to keep fingernails short (not that that's been a problem for me ).

Re: How about a turbo picture thread?

Compare the leather PCM above with one with painted "piano black". Which would you like better? I would think that the leather version would be much more forgiving to use on a daily basis especially with those who have longer fingernails.

And yes, the rig was Photoshopped out.

Like the Leather far more than the piano black. The piano black is way too shiny for my tastes. But if you do the leather PCM IMO you really need to do Leather Seat Backs otherwise it takes away from the balance of materials & colors in the interior, just leaving the grey on the seatbacks doesn't work for me you need both imo unless it's a black on black car and in that case it makes everything too black. Just my 2 cents.

WOW!! That's amazing! Cool. Thanks for showing that. Dammit that it will be almost impossible to see these choices in person before ordering. I'm sooooo glad there's a way to downplay all those buttons showing so prevalently with the volcano grey trim.

    Niiiice.
