    Andym's vacation pictures

    here are a some pictures I took while I was on vacation last week. I went to Tucson, Az, then drove to San Diego, Ca, and while I was in Cali, I went to Symbolic Motors in La Jolla. It was pretty amazing, but anyways. Jsut look, you'll see what I'm talking about.

    Thats the problem with living here in So Cal (especially in the LA area where I live)...Everything, when it comes to cars, is almost common. What Andy saw in the showroom is seen on the road daily. I think that the only exotics that make my head turn are an Enzo, an F1 or an S7. I marvel at the first 2, and throw up over the S7!

    That must be a pretty nice problem to have.

    I know what you mean, but to nowhere near the same extent. I used to think that the Ferrari 360 was a very special, exotic car, until I started to see one driving around almost every day last summer. After a while, I got accustomed to seeing them often, and although it was still a gorgeous car, I just didn't get excited when I saw one anymore.

    Very true. You should see the other pic I have of me in it. I jsut look like a starstruck [censored] near it. I'll post them sometime.

    EDIT:

    Ok, i didn't even want to show this, but anyways. I just look so dumb.


    By the way, the Saleen is the most difficult car to get out of. The Elise is a breeze compared to this thing. It took about 30 seconds just to get out of it, but that might have been because I really didn't want to get out....

    And even on Westside/NwptCoast, there's an amazing preponderance of used-looking 360s/SL500s/996Cabs w/tinted windows, aftermkt wheels and dealer lic plate frames from a difft marque .....<1 yo 430s/65s/996TTS/other $150K+ cars are an uncommon sight in any city in world, despite many optimistic claims by exuberant fans of various towns.....I'd argue mark of any region is the quality of top 1-2% of cars seen commuting on a rainy Mon/Tu, rather than cars seen on a sunny Sat afternoon, brought out for posing and status duty by guys who drive some <<$100K "beater" car 95% of time.....
