I'd appreciate your advice on the following (Probably more a UK question);
A friend of mine has just seen for sale at a reputable PO dealer a 996 cab, trip box, 4 years old in Rain forest green metallic with 24,500 miles for Pounds40,000, the thing is he wants to balloon the car finance say over 3 years, but I have concerns that the depreciation will spiral downwards in that time due to the new cab 997 arriving shortly. I have advised him to spend his money on a new Boxter or spend more money on a 997 C2 / C2s which will cost less in the long run with good resale.

What do you think?

Balloon finance is all about numbers and residuals and I'd really appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks in advance
