    Question to UK P owners ..

    At what stage did you do your final spec / second deposit , and how long was it before your car pick up date ..

    Final spec and 2nd deposit (to take down payment total to 10%) October 04. Car built Jan 05, took deliver 3rd March 05. (Boxster S).

    I didn't actually pay a 2nd depost. (I did offer, but OPC Exeter said they weren't bothered). Just the 2k down, then the rest on pickup day.

    3k deposit on 997s no further deposit was asked for.Should be collecting my car in early August 05, Deposit and options sorted in early june 05 at time of order.

    Porsche Centre East London wanted a 10% deposit at time of spec, the rest i gave at handover, althou to get my name on the list i gave a deposit of Pounds1000 and then another Pounds5000 at speccing.

    Put my initial 3000 down in November last year.

    They want the rest of the 10% by this October. (when I spec the car). Car is to be delivered 1st March.

    Strangely, I was in the dealership the other day and the owner approached me and asked if I was bothered about having a 1st March delivery. Odd question! Having ordered a year in advance for that day. How could I not be bothered. odd!

    They are saying that the sooner i get my spec done the better. (For them or me?). So apparently if I can get it to them in August that would be better. (so they tell me!)

    They want my 2nd deposit mid August for a November production and then for a pick up in the first week in Jan 06.

    I did'nt take a December delivery so I would have 06 on the log book..

    madadd you going for the 06 reg plate then , I was also tempted , plus the fact it gives P at the factory more time to sort out apparent teething probs ..

    It will still be a 55 plate. He just means it will show as year 2006 registered on registration document.
