The car magazines make the 911 car of the year over and over again, but the competition is usually some American sedan or an S2000 costing far less. The only people who seem really passionate about their Porsches are people driving older models, or who have always owned the things, or who own a stable of high end cars. Where are the comments from guys like me? People who've owned a number of different cars looking for a better driving experience and able to pay for it?
I mention the S2000 (re Dillinger's comment) as it was mentioned in the original post, and it was relevant to bring up my experience of one, in the context that you tend to get what you pay for. And I am one of the "few" members on this forum (I suspect not) that is absolutely, totally and completely 110% thrilled with my Porsche. It is even better than I anticipated. I just don't know how they could have made it any better.

Just as a side comment, I frequently bait SUV drivers and kids in Japanese racers to pass me on the highway, acting as my pathfinder for cops ahead.
