    New 997S owner - LCD display and short shift question

    After 89days of waiting, I finally took delivery of my car yesterday. WHOOOOOHOOOOO!

    I have several questions and looking for some advise:

    1) Of the 3 LCD displays with the lights turned on, the one of the extreme left looks bluer than the one in the middle and extreme right (light purplish). Anyone else notice this or is it just me?
    2) I have a short shift kit. All gears engage and disengage smoothly except for REVERSE. When disengaging from reverse It crunches and I feel like I'm doing some damage to the synchros.... ouch. Is this normal?

    Sounds like the linkage on your shifter needs adjustment for reverse.

    Don't know about the LCD dispalys.

    Shift cable adjustment problems have been very common on newly-delivered 997's. I couldn't put my car in reverse AT ALL. It's a simple fix, for a problem that seems to be epidemic from the factory.
