Wow thats really cool. I bet it really spices up the ALMS. Any bets on whether it will win its first race?

I don't follow LMP2 very closely (but I'm obviously going to start now that there's a Porsche entry), but I don't think it's an extremely competitive class. I'd love to see it win its debut race, stimulate tougher competition and, as you said, spice up the class.

Let' hope LMP2 is only a "test"category and that they'll join the big names in LMP1 with some car specs changes.
I don't really understand this "shy" return to competition in LMP2...

This isn't the factory Porsche team. This is a car made for ALMS and Penske racing. When the full factory returns it will be with a top class car. I wouldn't be surprised if design is under way already.

Why don't they play in GT1 with Aston, Ferrari, Chevrolet?Do they prefer to play with judd, MG, Peugeot in LMP2? That doesn't make sense to me.
