I also do not understand why he burned his clutch . He did not seem to be holding the clutch half-way and stepping on the throttle
Didn't watch the vid all way through, but suspect that he was probably frying his rear wheel brakes because the wheels had no grip and PSM had to cut in to limit wheelspin?

I think you are right, you could see the guy accelerating and yet the wheel would not move (at least on one side) and at some points when the wheel would spin it would inmediately stop spinning while still accelerating, meaning the rear brakes were working hard against the throttle in those conditions due to the PSM.

He would have been better off switching off PSM and using just enough throttle to keep the wheels turning. Even spinning wheels transmit more tractive force than ones intermittently being locked by PSM.

Yes, that must be it . And the clutch does not make that much smoke ( not that I have personal experience )

I think you guys are probably right. With the rain, that "smoke" could be just steam from the brakes. To burn up his clutch, he would have to be pressing the peddle partially the whole time, while revving. He could have done that, but the traction control seams more likely to me.
Isn't that a C4S front bumper? I was watching for front spin as well, and was wondering about that.

I'm always shocked (and annoyed) about how people on YouTube comment and apparently enjoy such "failures" by "rich" people with "no brains". Every time I read such comments on YouTube, my faith in humanity goes down the drain. Envy driven morons, this is all I can say.

Seems to me like a situation calling for the very lightest touch on the throttle and a very gentle engagement of the clutch. I heard entirely inappropriate revs of the engine. The driver either thought that traction control was all knowing and all powerful; or was trying to make a u-tube video.
Modern technology is awesome at saving people from minor errors, but it still can't overcome gross incompetence.
Edit: Overall, I believe the video was scripted, directed, and produced to get all of those u-tube hits from people like the commenters that RC mentioned. I do not believe that any Porsches were actually harmed in the making of this film. Did anyone note the progress that the driver was making in reverse, but headed back towards the wall instead? The description of the video doesn't mention any damage, only the commentors do.
