AAHTT's Protomotive Tuned Turbo: IMPRESSIVE!!!
AAHTT gave me a ride in his car so I could listen to his Cargraphic exhaust today. As it were, I got an incidental test of the other mods in the car as well. The experience was so unusual that I thought I would post it separately. Besides the Protomotive ECU tune, his car has the rare (don't think many people have this) VTG Turbocharger upgrade as well.
Before the test ride, another rennteamer warned me about the impending doom. Still I wasn't prepared for what was coming.
There is only one word to describe the acceleration of this car: Violent. Ok, maybe I'll add a couple more: TOTALLY nasty, abrupt, and scary.
I literally fell blood rushing in my head and developed tunnel vision during the first few seconds of the take-off. Frankly, I am shocked that his stock clutch has not been replaced.
I thought I would post this for those interested in ECU modding. Anthony could fill in but I believe he has had the mods for a while now and there has been no problem, like engine explosion or anything like that (not that it would surprise me
).
Let me assure you there is no dyno needed to confirm the horsepower gain. Just check the passenger door handle of Anthony's car; the finger marks should all be there.
(Anthony, THANKS so much for driving up despite of the busy schedule! I really appreciate it.)
