I love the 600LT, what a machine. Go for it, you wont be disappointed I guess! The Porsche is from another time, lightyears behind the Mc indecision

Heh, interesting.. all the reviews so far seem to be overwhelmingly positive..

Bit of a conundrum.. get in now to secure a 600LT, or miss out on that in the hope of an allocation from a possible second batch of RS in (maybe) January or so..?  vote now..

I have two cars I would like to own right now, the Huracan Performante (still my favorite) and the new 600LT. Smiley

Both cars won't disappoint, even if I haven't driven the 600LT yet (I am hoping for a test-drive next month, if not next spring) but reviews are really positive and everything about this car indicates that it is a great product at a great price.

A great choice and I think it is important to really go easy on the extras to keep the price "great" Smiley

What is the base price of the 600LT in Switzerland?

    Re: 600LT

it's 230k€ in Germany incl MwSt. Maybe you can guesstimate the Swiss price from that. The list of options is long and some are quite useful esp. when you want to track the car.  Even without the carbon bling you can easily add another 40k€.

I would get the base car with a few options, no sense to push the price to over 300k.

Huracan Performante and 600LT...best offers on the market right now. If you don't go crazy with the options.

That is true for my 991 turbo also, but seems to be worse with the McLarens. I have the impression that unless you get hold of a "limited" car - which the 600LT is not - you'll always loose quite a lot of money. On the positive side resale prices for slightly used cars are considerably low (for some definition of "low")Smiley

I never care about resale, I drive what I like. Unfortunately I cannot afford these cars right now anyway, so... Smiley Daily drivers are more important right now for me and my wife, so the R8 stays for another two years, then we'll see what happens. Still having the Huracan Performante Spyder on my radar...even as a used car. Smiley

Me neither as you know, but I still feel the pain! Huracan Spyder will be a spectacular used buy Smiley.

    Re: 600LT

Of course I get your pain but I also admire your love for cars, so don't worry, you are doing everything right. Smiley As long as you can afford these puppies, go for them, we have only one life. Smiley

Yes, I hope the Performante Spyder will drop in value at some point but I have my doubts. With stricter emissions laws, incl. sound emissions and EVs, cars like this could actually gain in value at some point. I hope I'm wrong...for my sake. Smiley

In the US, the 600LT is 28% more (and for a change, the McLaren is the one that does not include many of the desirable and expensive options).

I love the 600 LT (as I loved the 675 LT), but what holds me up from buying McL so far is their huge value depreciation and high running costs on track.

Even the limited 675 LT has a significant value drop in Germany. I don't understand why but this is the unfortunate reality of McL cars so far.

I think their steep depreciation curve is at least partly to blame on their blisteringly fast pace of development of newer and better models all the time.  It's a double-edge sword, because improving the cars is important.  But it leaves you with an "out-classed" model in short order.

Usually, this would lead me to be very interested in a few years old model (great purchase price discount), but I would want to drive mine on the track and only the street warranty (not including track coverage) can be extended.  Track warranty is only good for first 3 years with no extension available.

Yep, I was pretty surprised when I heard that my jeweler sold his 675LT for little money, he just wanted to get rid of the car (apparently he tried to sell it for months but no success). Reason? Back problems, he couldn't drive the car, he said it is extremely uncomfortable. Smiley I didn't ask for how much he sold it but he said he took a very big hit after he had actually hoped for a premium. We were in Hawaii together, so I learned a bit more about his cars but I knew about the 675LT sale before that but from a different source.

For 200k Smiley I would have...but I never asked for how much he sold it. He was happy he got rid of it though. Fantastic car and I don't have back problems (yet). Smiley Heard this first from a third party, he never asked me (our friendship just started a couple of months ago...wives).

    Just buy a used McL...

Not excluded...but still a bit far away because the R8 stays for another two years. Thank god I got a four years lease, I just love this car. Buying it after the lease doesn't really make sense, around 100k, not worth it (I think). I may go for the facelift (Spyder though) but the most likely right now (or better said in two years) is getting a used Huracan Performante, if possible as a Spyder. I like the 600LT as well, same goes to the 675LT and maybe even the 720S.

No hurry here, son is still in school, daughter haven't started university yet, we have different priorities right now and the car market(s) will change a lot over the next couple of years. Maybe in my advantage, maybe not.

Or maybe I'm getting old and I get myself the 992.2 Turbo S... Smiley

There is a 20% chance... Smiley If I don't find anything "better". Right now, the car suits me perfectly but in two years? I never had a car that long (with one exception), so... Smiley

Interesting that the 600LT achieves the same speed as the 488, despite having 120 fewer HP. Special McLaren aerodynamics? Or less than special Italian horses?

I love it! It is such a raw and unfiltered driving sensation! It feels like a karting but with 430 bhp. The titanium exhaust screams and the car is fast! This car is a keeper for me.
