Some weeks ago there was a nice 908 in the shop (saw it late in the evening). I am not sure if the pictures are by Stefan. He is a very good industrial designer, we did some projects with his former company (I still own some records where the art work is done by him)

That looks… slightly used. 
Have you thought about upgraded brake pads? It appears the regular pads might be a bit overwhelmed with your usage. Considering your primary use of the car, I could imagine some other pads would be more appropriate. Would be interesting to see if upgraded brake pads offset the higher price with higher durability.
By the way, thanks for the car-related content. Always a joy to read your stories.

What upgraded brake pads would you suggest? I know that there are several available in Germany, however mostly, not road legal, which somehow puts me off…l know that a lot of track people run their cars on Pagid blue, just to name a brand, also on the road, but for me, too risky …

I have never worn my pads that far down. Looks like it was metal to metal.
I change them before getting to the gauge. Don’t like to end up stressed when on the track having to think about not using my breaks too much
Fire thing I also do on my GT cars. Put différend pads. I get more bite also.

I have tried that combination. The green Manthey/ Pagid pads with the OEM disks. Works much better then the original setting. But to me it like a firmer initial bite, like the PFC
