    Exploded Cayenne Turbo

    Found this today on the news, exploded cayenne turbo in Beirut Lebanon. The Passenger (target) was wounded, the driver was dead.

    Supposedly a high level government official in the interior ministry, the car was armor plated.

    Sadly that's just an everyday thing in Lebanon. I'm not even sure it made the headlines. Scary indeed - but more scary how much this kind of terror/attack is a part of everyday life in some places.

    Target was defense minister Elias Al-Murr, a remote controlled detonation device filled with aprox. 100 kg of explosive was used. Mr. Al-Murr escaped through a broken window, one person was killed, over 13 others wounded.
    It happened in a christian suburb of Beirut.
    Mr.Al-Murr is a former pro-syrian supporter but has changed his attitude. He also seems to be a very wealthy person.
    BTW: he is 43 years old.

    I love cars but I'm also very interested in politics, especially security related stuff and the middle east.
    Had many friends from that region and I always try to understand what is happening there.
    Beirut is even more interesting because of it's mixed population, muslims and christians, anti-syrians and pro-syrians, religious criminals and real criminals, etc. Highly interesting area, unfortunately dangerous and almost unpredictable too.
