458 Interior Carbon Fibre Sport Package ( Modis code CRPK)

Has anybody got this option on their car or photos/diagrams of it.

I am speccing my car, but not entirley sure which individual codes it actually replaces.

I have seen some discussions on the subject, but no pics, or costs.

Any help would be appreciated, as changes to my order will be blocked soon.

CRPK includes codes CIDL, CILR and DATR. Here is the page from the relevant ordering guide. It includes the blue, green and red areas in the diagram.

ISUK, Thank you very much. Ever so helpful & prompt.

I want a full carbon interior (minus the door panels, which I want in part alcantara)

From what I can see, CRPK is the one to get. Right?

Re: 458 Interior Carbon Fibre Sport Package ( Modis code CRPK)

Yes, CRPK is what you want to order. You can also special request the internal door opening handles in carbon fibre if you want to get rid of the grey painted effect completely. They were quite expensive though from memory.

Re: 458 Interior Carbon Fibre Sport Package ( Modis code CRPK)

The cost is £6569 plus VAT. I have it on my car - I hope to take photos of it tomorrow.

Here you go. The flash makes the carbon look much more in your face than it really is .

The carbon dash insert does look really good. I had it on my order but the factory weren't able to supply it for RHD production when my car was built. Now that I've got my car with the aluminium dash I actually quite like it as it makes the other carbon areas look more noticeable and gives a nice highlight of it's own against the other materials in the cabin. I've got to spec my next 458 fairly soon and am debating whether to go for CRPK or save £2k and keep the same look as my current car

Re: 458 Interior Carbon Fibre Sport Package ( Modis code CRPK)

    Iain,

I think alum. looks good in dark interiors such as black leather and carbon dash inserts look better and more noticeable on light colors such as crema, beige, cuio.

What color combination will you go with your spider?

How are your impressions of your 458, especially if you compare it with Scuderia?

    pride,

I agree on the aluminium looking better with a black interior. It does help to lift it a little as does the contrasting black alcantara. I don't know what colour I'll go for on the spider as yet. I've got to spec another coupe first and will most likely stick with the same colour scheme that I already have as I love the car in Rosso Corsa. It's a colour that has an amazing depth when highly waxed and really shows off all the curves and design details on the car.

As far as the comparison with the Scuderia goes I haven't missed my Scud at all since getting the 458. For road use there is no contest.... the 458 wins hands down. Everything about the car just feels right.

Are you getting another coupe before the spider?

    Why?

I think the extra carbon does give the cabin a very distinctive  and classy yet sporty  look (especially in yet another red Ferrari Smiley) , which more than compensates for the lost contrast of the aluminium,  and is well worth the extra £2K. There again, I would say that , wouldn't I Smiley

    Why?

I got my dealers first customer car and agreed to let them have it back for resale whenever they could give me a slot for a replacement. It gives them an opportunity to earn extra profit and lets me get a 2011 model year car and start at zero miles again at no cost to change (unless I go mad on the spec....which I won't Smiley).

I know you still secretly wish you'd gone for rosso Smiley Smiley

Re: 458 Interior Carbon Fibre Sport Package ( Modis code CRPK)

Iain, that sounds like a very good deal you cut with your dealer. prime example of how it pays off to have a good dealer relationship. Also just my 2 cents: your color scheme as of right now is wonderful, one of the best looking rosso cars I've seen. But maybe you should switch around some smaller details to sort of give yourself a different shade of the same experience. IMO the smaller details are the things that really enhance the ownership experience with a car of this category.

Re: 458 Interior Carbon Fibre Sport Package ( Modis code CRPK)

You're right Enmanuel and I was thinking along those lines. I'll likely add the CRPK option 2nd time around and also the leather door sill finishers that are now an option.

My dealer liked the way my first car turned out so much that he ordered his second demo exactly the same way which is quite handy as it means it is easy for him to sell my car if someone walks in and says "wow, can I buy your demo?"

crayphile, exact same interior as what i have spec'd except i went more alcantara for the floor and in the middle of the doors, also as you the race seats with alcantara centres and the yellow strip. Smiley

did you go with the yellow cavallino as well?

Yes I did  - you can see them on the other thread. The cavalino comes in the price of the racing seats.

Re: 458 Interior Carbon Fibre Sport Package ( Modis code CRPK)

Thanks for the pics crayphile, I am going with this option
