$11,500 if it has new tires.

Hey I never have to add oil, so I think it's worth more.

    I'll take it for $12,000!

Maybe a little more than that.

I'm putting it on consignment at Rector Motors in Burlingame, CA. I'm buying an A6 4.2 Audi. Think of the problems that one will have!

Hey Pepp! What's up? Did you just buy your CT and are now selling it because of some tiptronic issue? Steering wheel vibration? or? I'm just tyring to understand this thread from your previous posts.

    Thanks

Lots of problems! They are now repaired with the exception of the keyless entry which sometimes doesn't lock - but I just use the actual key to lock up.

I lay the blame at Sonnen Porsche's door. They didn't care and I had to hire an attorney to make PCNA come out and drive the car. He found the problem quickly and had them replace a switch for the gear selector lever. I had to fight to get Sonnen to fix the window, the comfort settings, etc.

I'm exhausted and feel like a spurned lover.

I love my CT and it now runs properly, but...next week, it will be for sale at Rector Motor Cars in Burlingame. Someone else can enjoy my hard work. My new Audi A6 4.2 s-line will be in. I plan to bring holy water with me and sprinkle it on the car.

I am about to sign a confidentiality letter from Porshe. I don't know why they want me to do that. You would think they would want to gloat.

    Susan (Sorry for the rant)
    Thanks

    Re: '04 CT for sale

    Holy water LOL

I almost bought mine from Sonnen. Did you have any steering wheel shake? Details?

What's with the letter of confidentiality? Are you forced to sign? What are they trying to hide?

Sorry for your troubles. My buddy told me today that Audi is coming out with a wicked fast A4 next year. Forgot the details but sounded nice.

    Re: '04 CT for sale

    >>Did you have any steering wheel shake? Details?<<

Yes, it developed about 2 months ago. It felt similar to driving on a washboard road, particularly around 30-50mph.
I purchased my winter tires from Sonnen. They balanced and aligned twice and the shake was worse. I asked for a road force test and was told it didn't matter.

That's when I went to Rector and paid $130 for the road force test and they rebalanced and aligned the tires. No more washboard except some slight vibration around 70 which is supposed to be a porsce 'thing'.

At Rector, I talked to Eric - what a relief - no bs, straight talk and he knows cayennes.

As to other matters, public forums can be read by anyone.

So, how is your cayenne doing?

    Susan

    Re: '04 CT for sale

I have the 70mph shake sometimes. Not always. I just drove 5300 miles cross country and it was annoying about 5% of the time. Any help/tips on the steering wheel shake would be appreciated.

Also had electrical issues a couple of times. Like when using the nav and pressing the scan button on the wheel. The whole computer and steroe would lock-up. Had to stop the car, turn it off and restart to re-boot the system.

    Re: '04 CT for sale

The only problem of the cayenne turbo is its fuel consumption...But once you press that gas pedal, you know why!!

This week I was driving the cayenne turbo in the motorway and a 986 boxster(don't know if it was an S, because I was always in front of him ) , tried to keep up with me, here in Mallorca motorways are not the same as in Germany for example, but when it was time to head to the main straight..I left the red boxster without any problems..

I repeat the only problem is the fuel consumption, in the other hand this "disadvantage"is not present in 911's..
Well it may NOT be a disadvantage if you are in America

well aside from the 11 mpg our extremely conservatively driven cayenne gets (only 2 mpg more than my 5.7 litre V10 CGT which is driven with an extremely heavy foot), it also has used 1 qt at every 1k miles so far in the first 10k and needed all four tires @ 6k miles which were at the wear bars (wore evenly across the tire ruling out pressure or alignment issues).

oh yeah, and we still have the lovely vibration issue.

peppert, i didn't know yours was not an oil eater. in that case, i raise my offer of $11.5k to $11.6K

Hey.........I bet I can pull pieces off this car and sell them for more.

My mileage is about 14.2 and I drive twisty roads all the time when I leave Stinson Beach.

I've never been a porsche fan, per se, so I'm not overly tolerant of paying 100k for 70mph shaking, whereas, my son says, "the comfort settings keep changing" vrooooooooommmmm.

Oops, too late. I'm ecstaticly (sp?) driving my 2005 S line A6 4.2 Audi. It has (bragging here) an S mode in automatic shift that keeps the rpms at a higher rate before upshifting. No more driving in 6th at 45mph!

When the steering wheel shimmys, I know it's the road not the car. When I lock the door, it locks. When I step on the gas, it moves immediately. When I press on the window switch, the window goes down.
And having driven the audi for 200 miles, it hasn't asked for any oil.

My CT is at the dealers' waiting for a new owner.
