    Just that it can be both a brutal driving machine and an everyday sportscar with social acceptance in spite of the more extravagant look. Performance and Consumption are in a healthy relationship and that it belongs to the most efficient cars of its kind

    Yes, indeed, 0-100 kph in 3.0, 0-200 kph in 10.1 seconds and an average fuel consumption of slightly over 14 liters / 100 km ? Impressive. Real life fuel consumption is more in the 18-19 l / 100 km range when driven hard (according to our own testing) but it is still very impressive. Of course you can easily pass 20 liters when driving at Vmax but thats another story.

    My friend has a 997 Turbo S here in Turkey and he measured average of 2.8 sec for 0-100 km/h time.

    0-300 km/h time is around 28-29 sec.

     

     Based on speedo... Based on the videos posted I would expect a GPS based 0-300 time for this car (with EVOTECH software) of approx. 33s.

    If I can see correctly, 0-200km/h takes slightly over 10,0s. Definitely not under. (start at 9s, at 19s 199km/h on speedo)

    So a stock Turbo S doing 9,4s is very unlikely.

    AutoBild Sportscars clocked 3,1 and 10,6 seconds with the Cabriolet-version.

    We are using the Performance Box too for our casual measurements but it is very important to use the external antenna because the internal antenna doesn't always deliver accurate results, depending on region and weather conditions.

    Under 10 seconds for the 997 Turbo S is very unlikely but runs around 10 seconds are accurate.

    Little reminder: this is Carrera GT territory. From 0-100 kph, the 997 Turbo S even beats the Carrera GT.

    Stage II videos are coming.

    My friend also has a tuning shop as a hobby job.

    He is the EVOTECH vendor in Turkey. He loves tuning. His Turbo S is 1 month old and already ready for Stage II.

    If you ask me, with its stock form, it is one of the fastest cars in the market. But I guess, satisfaction is another virtue.

    From the video with EVOTECH software 0-300 km/h looks like 29 sec. Marcus has pointed out that it is actually 33 sec due to speedo reading error. Nevermind; his target with the upgrades is 26 sec for 0-300 km/h (from speedo readings)

    We'll see. I'll post the new videos once they are ready.

    Sorry if I sounded too harsh, it was only meant as a simple remark.  

    Personally, I wouldn't touch the 997 Turbo S's engine/electronics, this car is almost perfect and the only performance gain can be achieved in the upper 200 kph range. Doesn't make much sense to me, especially for a speed limited country.

    You are overstating the importance of external antenna - I have done a lot of back to back testing between GPS devices (like having AX22 Race Technology and Driftbox Race Logic running side by side for multiple runs in different locations) and the Performance box/Drift box works perfectly most of the time sans anntena...

    The trick is to do a few runs and if one looks wrong compared to the others then it probably is..... you can always email data back to Race Logic and they will tell you 100% if data is correct.

    We are speed limited but there is almost no control; so we are uncontrolled in a speed limited country Smiley

    On the other hand, I would not bother either since Turbo S is offered in a complete perfect package.

    low 9 sec time for a stock turbo s up to 200kmh  seems a bit unlikely. But we dont know the external factors,  downhil slope etc

    A moddet techart turbo pdk with 820 nm and 600 hp runs 2.9 and 9.3 (results in sportauto) but they doubt that the pdk will last for long as apparantly his limits are around 800nm and techart is running 820 nm

     

    here a file of my stok gt2 997 200-250 in 5th gear, 3 meters uphill an 30 degress in 6,16  secs. If it would have been stright or downhill there would be probably a low 5 sec time. So to see exactly whats going on you need to see the graphs with altitude as well
