Say hello to the new Boxster E

No hybrid, pure electrical, up to 180 kW with two generators.

Is Porsche serious about this ? I don't know.

Fact is: The german government pays 130 Mio. EUR to 8 regions for various "mobility projects". I could imagine that a couple of millions made their way to Porsche too ?! Smiley

I would love to take a test drive in one of these babies (3 cars will be available for the project), just to see how it feels compared to the "real deal".

I wonder if there's an opportunity to tune tires so that they resonate at different notes at different rates of speed.

What would it sound like to hear an electric Boxster accelerating up the scale? Changing octaves?

Wow, a working model, i wonder what tech it uses and what the range is?

This is bad for Tesla. I was banking on the OEMs waiting till 2012 to weight things out. But i guess that will be the earliest we see this models marketed. Still bad for Tesla, if by the time they bring out the Model S, OEM already has competitors on their showrooms.

indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

Hey guys, Yep. It is yet another entry in a line of questionable steps taken in recent months. However, there undoubtedly lurks some officialdom governing the creation of planet-unfriendly vehicles... which I so want Porsche to continue building!
